Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Garden State with a star-studded concert at Los Angeles' Greek Theater in 2025. Featuring artists from the Grammy-winning soundtrack, the event will benefit The Midnight Mission.
2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the critically acclaimed indie film Garden State – and to commemorate the occasion, a star-studded concert will be held on March 29 at the Los Angeles Greek Theater. The event will feature performances from many of the artists who contributed to the film’s Grammy-winning soundtrack.
Star-Studded Lineup for Garden State’s 20th Anniversary Concert
Nearly every artist featured on the beloved Garden State soundtrack will come together for a one-night-only performance at the Greek Theater. The lineup includes The Shins, Iron & Wine, Frou Frou, and more, all of whom will perform their contributions to the soundtrack. The album, which peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and won the 2005 Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, played a key role in the film’s legacy.
While some artists, including Coldplay and Simon & Garfunkel, are not yet confirmed, the concert promises live performances of every track from the soundtrack. In addition to the musical acts, “very special guests” and cast members from the film will be announced at a later date.
Special Guests and Exclusive Merch
The anniversary event will also offer exclusive, limited-edition merchandise designed by Aviator Nation. Fans attending the concert will have the opportunity to purchase memorabilia that celebrates both the film and its iconic soundtrack.
Zach Braff, the film’s director and star, has hinted at more surprises to come, saying in a statement, “We have a very special night planned with many more surprises to come. It will be extra special knowing we are giving back to the community via the Midnight Mission.”
Proceeds to Benefit The Midnight Mission
In addition to celebrating the 20th anniversary of Garden State, the event will support a good cause. Proceeds from the concert will go to The Midnight Mission, a homeless shelter and services provider based in Los Angeles. Indie-rock artist Cary Brothers, whose song “Blue Eyes” appears on the soundtrack, introduced Zach Braff to the organization, where Braff has since become a volunteer.
Executive producer Laura Glass emphasized the significance of the event, saying, “Opportunities like this are incredibly rare. I’m truly honored to produce a show that not only celebrates the profound impact of this once-in-a-generation soundtrack but also supports families facing homelessness.”
A Grammy-Winning Soundtrack Comes to Life
The Garden State soundtrack is widely regarded as one of the best indie film soundtracks of its time. With songs like The Shins’ “New Slang” and Frou Frou’s “Let Go,” the album became a cultural touchstone, enhancing the emotional depth of the film and earning widespread critical acclaim.
The live performances at the Greek Theater will bring these iconic tracks to life, offering fans a unique opportunity to relive the magic of the soundtrack in a live setting.
Zach Braff’s Involvement and Support for The Midnight Mission
Zach Braff has long been involved with The Midnight Mission, thanks to his connection with Cary Brothers. The organization, founded in 1914, provides essential services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. By hosting this anniversary event, Braff hopes to raise awareness and funds for the organization’s ongoing efforts.
